Ice climbing, hill walking, Classic Rock ticking, skiing, winter skills training, dry tooling, jigsaw puzzling - Newtonmore Scotland 2025 had it all!
Apart from enduring winter conditions. Sadly the weather gods were not on our side, but the group of 12 committed AMC mountaineers definitely made the most of it regardless.
There were a lot of firsts and skills being built but special mention has to go to Lucas for his first winter lead (grade I) followed very quickly by his second winter lead (grade II), to all those who popped their dry tooling cherries with such enthusiasm, and of course to Nat for his curry feast for 12, with not one, not two but three different dishes hand crafted from scratch - delicious!

This is what a club trip should be - a great group of people sharing skills and experience, making new friends and, most importantly, getting out in the mountains. Thanks to all for making the trip what it was, and really good to see so many new members getting involved in the club and joining trips - 2025 off to a great start!
